Before you use papat for Lightroom Classic

Version 3 — October 20, 2026

This plug-in lets you use papat (https://papat.app/), a service run by Murayama Photo Office, from Lightroom Classic. Please read the following before you install it.

1. Pricing

The plug-in is free. Galleries you create with it are charged at papat's regular prices (your first eight galleries are free). See https://papat.app/en/ for pricing.

2. Terms

Your use of papat is subject to the Terms of Service (https://papat.app/en/terms/) and the Privacy Policy (https://papat.app/en/privacy/).

3. What the plug-in sends

The photos you select are sent to papat as JPEGs resized for selection (typically 2048 px on the long edge). Your RAW originals are never sent.
The only information embedded in the photos is the copyright, creator and contact details you have set in Lightroom. Location data, camera serial numbers and develop settings are not included.
The plug-in also sends your gallery settings (title, passcode, number of days online, and so on) and, for each photo, its file name, capture time and your star rating. Camera names, keywords and color labels are not sent.
It also sends a grouping number for photos that look alike. That grouping is computed on this Mac; no photo is sent anywhere for it. The small bundled program does not use the network, and its source is published under the MIT licence.
Only with your permission, it sends a sending record to help us improve it: your macOS, Lightroom and plug-in versions, how many photos were sent, how and how long, and the kind of error that occurred (never the error's text). We ask once, the first time you create a gallery, and you can change it at any time in the Plug-in Manager. It never includes photos, file names, gallery titles or passcodes for this either.

4. Your Lightroom catalog

When you import your client's selections, the plug-in creates a collection of the selected photos. By default, it also sets the pick flag, appends your client's notes to the caption and adds their tags as keywords (you can turn these off in settings). It never changes your ratings or color labels.
When you create a gallery, the plug-in records papat's own tracking information on the photos you sent (in fields that belong to the plug-in).

5. API key

Your API key lets anyone who has it operate your galleries. Do not show it to anyone, and do not give it to an AI.

6. No warranty

The plug-in is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Please back up any catalog that matters to you.

7. Source code

The source code is published under the MIT License. Your use of the source code is governed by the MIT License. The full text is below.
